I work closely with clients offering both compassion and in-depth information that help to increase understanding of treatment options and maximize benefits for both adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma and addiction.
Dr. Rand Nemeh, MD is a psychiatry specialist in San Diego, CA and has over 31 years of experience in the medical field. She graduated from Damascus University Faculty of Medicine in 1992.
I expect the people who take care of me to be compassionate, intelligent, resourceful, dependable, available, and empathetic. I would expect no less from myself in caring for my own patients.
My hope is to get to know my patients on a personal level, so we can work closely together to optimize their medications regimen while minimizing side effects. I also strongly recommend that psychotherapy be part of our overall approach to mental health as medications are but a tool to help with mood. With that in mind, coping skills and personal growth are the most vital to overall improvement in symptoms.
I pride myself on collaborating with patients and their loved ones in order to best understand their goals for mental health and well-being. The primary outcome for patient treatment is achieving greater satisfaction with their lives, and providing them a platform upon which to grow
I value collaboration, compassion, and curiosity in my approach to patient care. I encourage my patients to approach themselves with curiosity and self-compassion as well. My philosophy is to not only provide symptomatic relief through medications, but to also assist patients in building a stronger sense of self agency and to live a more fulfilling life.
